Referees narrowly defeated in annual cricket match

Another fantastic evening at the annual Leinster Rugby Referees v Merrion Cricket Club match in memory of our good friend and colleague Damian Poder. Sadly we fell short of the 158 set by Merrion, merely running out of balls with some superb displays from Aude deCasanove and Martin Farrelly amongst others, forcing Merrion to bring in the big guns in Joyce and Poder Jnr. Thanks to Wayne Sheridan and his wonderful wife Helen for organising. Wonderful to see Ailish Poder in attendance and Cian Poder playing a blinder on the crease. Thanks to Merrion for a great game and to our referees who showed up on the night. We’ve raised over €1000 for a great cause.
