October Area Meetings

The first weekend of October will see the return of all provincial and national competitions, so we will be busy refereeing, touch judging, mentoring, evaluating, and coaching.

It is important that everyone attends the area meetings each month. These meetings give us an opportunity to discuss how we referee the key areas of the game and allow us to increase the quality and consistency of refereeing in the province. The dates for October are below, please make every effort to attend.

• The main topic will be Referee Teamwork. The session will begin with a brief reminder about the role of touch judges in the domestic game. We will then focus on improving the communication between the team of three when dealing with incidents of foul play. This is especially important with the All Ireland League returning.
