It is with deep sadness we report the passing of our refereeing colleague Damian Poder, after a long illness. On behalf of all members of the ARLB our President Conor Byrne and the executive extend their deepest sympathies to his wife Ailish and son Cian.
May he rest in peace.
PODER Damian (Dublin and formerly Sydney, Australia) 13th November 2017, after a long illness borne with extraordinary courage, resilience and good humour, in the wonderful care of all the staff of St Anne’s Ward, St Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved wife of Ailish (Kavanagh) and much loved dad of Cian. He will be greatly missed by his family, his father Allan, sister Cheryl-Anne and brother Brendan, niece Amber and all his relatives and friends both in Ireland and Australia and especially those at Merrion Cricket Club.
Reposing at Ailish’s family home in Rathmines on Wednesday, (15th November) from 5.00 until 7.00pm. Removal on Thursday morning (16th November) to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Donnybrook arriving at 10.50am for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by cremation in Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross. No flowers please. |
